DR. TINA SAW
Dr. Tina Saw is a native of Olympia, Washington. She attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Shortly after college, Dr. Saw went back to the West Coast, and attended Loma Linda University’s School of Dentistry. Dr. Saw is passionate about dentistry and her community. During her time at Loma Linda, she served on several mission trips, both local and abroad. When she is not at Elevated Smiles, Dr. Saw continues her love and passion for helping others by giving her time to community clinics in the San Diego area. Dr. Saw received Loma Linda University’s Boyko Award for Christ-like service in dentistry for demonstrating extraordinary interest and activity in following Christ’s statement, “Whatever you did for one of the least . . . you did for Me.”
Dr. Saw is compassionate and gentle to all her patients. She takes the time to get to know them, and makes sure she addresses all their concerns. She truly cares for each person that walks through the door.
Besides practicing dentistry, Dr. Saw loves the outdoors. She and her husband, Dr. Luu have a little boy named Jax and a baby girl named Ava.
Dr. Thanh Luu grew up in Southern California. He attended the University of California Los Angeles, where he received his degree in Molecular Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics. After graduation, he conducted research in the field, but later decided to change his career and become a dentist. Dr. Luu attended Loma Linda University’s School of Dentistry, where he met his wife, Dr. Saw.
On his free time, Dr. Luu loves biking, hiking and reading. His favorite book is Heart of Darkness. Dr. Luu also enjoys watching the TV show, Big Bang Theory. He is a busy father to a very happy little boy and baby girl.
Anne moved from Northern California to San Diego back in 2012, where she attended San Diego Dental Career College and graduated as a Dental Assistant. She went on to work for a Periodontist for three years and fell in love with dentistry, decided to become a Dental Hygienist. After receiving her Associates degree she then attended Loma Linda University where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Dental Hygiene. During her time at Loma Linda, Anne followed her passion for giving back to the community by participating in several community service events such as; compassion clinic, mission trips and more. She was on the Dean’s list, and also her research team won first place at the 2017 CDHA’s annual Table Clinic Competition in the Original Research category.
Anne enjoys spending time with family having game nights, relaxing and creating new memories. When she’s in San Diego she enjoys hiking, going to the beach and hanging out with friends trying new activities.
Heidi is from San Diego and has been in dental for over 30 years. She loves cooking and swimming. She and her husband owned an East Coast deli and mobile food/catering business caused South Jersey Grub, where they served cheese steaks and hoagies. She has three children, two girls and one boy, and a cute little granddaughter. Heidi is passionate about helping others smile.
Leah is from Marine, Minnesota and has been fortunate enough to see a lot of the United States due to her family’s lifestyle. She has a large family, a wonderful husband and is in a rock-n-roll band with her dad. Leah enjoys writing music, playing guitar, playing video games and reading Stephen King novels when she isn’t working on her very first novel of her own.
Debbie is new to Southern California. She loves going to the beach with her husband and six year old son. Debbie loves Disneyland and as a hobby does yoga. Debbie is also an animal lover and has two pet cats. Her goal is to provide the best services to our patients and ensure that they walk out smiling!
Cynthia began building her dental career in 2012. She started working with community organizations in San Diego giving back to the community. Her primary goal is to provide the best customer service to her patients by building a strong friendship and providing primary care. Stronger connections with patients allows for the best experience in our office. As a team, we work together to make our patients feel welcomed and secure. When she is not in the office she spends her time running trails, and studying to further her education in dentistry.
Nubia is from San Diego and currently a student attending California State University of San Marcos, majoring in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. She is aspiring to become a dentist in the near future and is currently learning the fundamentals of what it takes to work in the dental field. Her goal is to not only learn the dental aspect of the career but to also create the best experience for the patients and develop a strong welcoming relationship with them.
Nubia enjoys giving back to her community by volunteering at a non-profit soup kitchen called “Urban Angels,” located in Downtown San Diego that feeds the homeless population within the area. She also loves spending time with her friends and family, going out on hikes, playing soccer and taking her two younger brothers out to the park.
